Webinar3_Community_enggement

Date: 29 June 2021
Venue: Online

In the first webinar of this series, we explored how climate change impacts, features, and challenges affect water security globally with a focus on the Pacific. Our guest speakers reinforced that to progress towards water security, water needs to be treated as a cross-sectoral theme that traverses everywhere and develops in coordination with all sectors.

In the second webinar of this series, we showcased different approaches to water and resilience to shocks. In both events, speakers emphasised the imperative nature of good community engagement as foundational to water governance, particularly as we face a future where adaptiveness and flexibility will be needed.

In this third webinar, experts working in different aspects of community engagement and water governance will share their experiences. You will hear about integrated and holistic solutions that are being used to engage communities to tap into their opinions, local knowledge, and experience; while increasing grassroots engagement in the policy, science, and engineering that sits behind adaptive water governance.
