The Australian Water Partnership (AWP) and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) are hosting a workshop on ‘Exploring Collaborative International Development Opportunities for Digital Earth Australia and Related Water Tools’ from 12-14 November, at the IWMI head office in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
In collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and AWP, eWater Ltd facilitates the application of Australian WaterTools in developing countries, and Digital Earth Australia is responsible for DataCube.
The objectives of the workshop are to:
- Build an understanding of the technologies and discuss future development activities, including potential pilot programs;
- Identify tools and applications already in use that can be linked with DataCube;
- Identify countries, regions and programs where this platform can begin to be applied to support development activities; and
- Identify opportunities for Partners and develop plans for implementation.
