World Water Week is the leading annual conference on global water issues organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute. In 2021, it will be held as a full-scale digital event and focus on the major transformations that need to take place if we are to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and slash carbon emissions under the theme of Building Resilience Faster. The week attracts leading researchers, decision makers, business representatives, NGOs, students, and international organisations from more than 130 countries. It offers an unusual mix of participants and perspectives, with sessions on a broad array of water-related topics, ranging from food security and health, to agriculture, technology, biodiversity, and the climate crisis.

The Australian Water Partnership is involved in the following open sessions. We invite you to join us at one or more of these sessions during World Water Week (led by Water for Women) and to explore the more than 300 sessions curated by SIWI, which are being convened by world-leading organisations. All sessions can be followed online free of charge, but do require registration.

Now, more than ever, the world relies on transformative leaders to drive the COVID-19 response and recovery. But how can we better enable transformative leadership in the water governance and WASH sectors to ensure more inclusive and equitable systems, structures and services? Join the convenors in an engaging and open discussion on all facets of transformative leadership and explore how you can better support leaders to be more transformative in programming, research or policy-making to tackle challenges, such as COVID-19 and climate change, head-on.
