Geoffrey has had a total of 45 years’ experience in the water sector in Australia and internationally.  He spent 22 years (1970-1992) in the Victorian rural water sector (irrigation, drainage and salinity control, flood control and management and river basin management); some 16 years (1992-2008) at the World Bank in Washington DC working on a wide range of World Bank-funded resource projects in East and South Asian countries (India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines); and three years (2009-2012) with Rubicon Systems in Melbourne as the International Business Development Manager focused on introducing advanced irrigation operational and management infrastructure and control systems in China and India.

Since 2013, he has provided consulting services in water resources management, primarily to the World Bank and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
