We are pleased to announce the international launch of the Australian Water Reform Narrative series, at the 2016  Stockholm World Water Week event, on 1 September.

The first two narrative papers released were the Australian Water Reform Journey — which describes for an international audience the evolution of Australian water policy and management over the past three decades; and Building Resilience to Drought — a paper on the arrangements preceding and during the Millennium Drought, and lessons learned through that critical water management period.

Both papers were lead authored by Prof Jane Doolan, who consulted with a number of leading public and private sector water experts to build a shared perspective of key policy and management reforms.

In addition, there was also a soft launch of three framing notes prepared by AWP partners for DFAT as an Australian input to the UN/World Bank High-Level Panel on Water: Valuing Water; Human Settlements; and Drought and Water Scarcity.

To get free access to these papers, please register through the AWP Knowledge Resource (existing AWP Partners can also access them within the AWP partner portal).
