Submission Deadline: Friday 3 May 2019, 5.30pm (AEST)
The Australian Water Partnership (AWP) is looking for an Australian specialist in Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in water supply infrastructure to provide technical assistance as part of the development of an Asian Development Bank (ADB) project to support the Government of Indonesia.
This AWP activity will contribute to the design of a US$605M ADB project. The project, titled Indonesia: Enhanced Water Security Investment Project (‘the project’) will promote an integrated river basin management approach with the following objectives: (i) improving water resources planning and management to meet rising demands for irrigation and non-agricultural users; (ii) minimising spatial and temporal variations in water availability by improving water storage facilities and conveyance; and (iii) increasing resilience to climate change.
The ADB has mobilised a team to design and undertake due diligence on the project. This team is: i) conducting consultations with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) and river basins stakeholders to finalise the scope of the project, and to ensure that innovations are built into the investment; and ii) undertaking due diligence of technical, social, financial, environmental, gender, and economic aspects of the project. This team requires two additional specialists – a ‘Water Supply Specialist’ and a ‘Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Specialist in water supply infrastructure’.
