COP27 Water Pavilion

The Water Pavilion is held 7-18 November in the Blue Zone of COP27, offering cutting-edge, science-based advice to climate decision-makers and negotiators. Party delegations and non-Party stakeholders are invited to share experiences and learn more about the crucial role of water in climate action.

Led by the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, the Water Pavilion mobilises more than 30 different global organisations committed to raising awareness of the role of water for climate.  More details are available on the Water Pavilion webpage.

Working with Indigenous peoples to approach climate-resilient water management with community and traditional knowledge

This session will provide a platform for diverse voices include Indigenous perspectives to share their strong ethic of stewardship of natural resources. By doing so, it will draw attention to the considerable work being done in this space and possibilities within national and global climate action.

Through storytelling, Indigenous voices from the Asia Pacific and beyond will share their knowledge and experiences on approaches for linking western science with traditional and Indigenous science, knowledge and management practices for water resource management and adaptation planning in the context of climate change.
