The Australian Water Partnership (AWP) is seeking an Australian Partner to support the second Phase of its capacity development assistance to the Pacific Water and Waste Water Association (PWWA).
The first Phase of AWP support to the PWWA Capacity Development Assistance Program was an AU$1.1M investment focussed on the delivery of governance and capacity development activities. The program had three major components: i) PWWA secretariat support; ii) Board governance and financial training; and iii) Pacific Young Water Professionals (YWP) program.
With this support, AWP has assisted PWWA’s development and reforms to move from a volunteer-based organisation to a professional body with full-time employees and a five-year strategic plan focussed on developing the capacity of its members and optimising the organisation’s performance. The initial AWP support also contributed to the establishment of a YWP program with its first meeting in 2017 as part of the annual Pacific Water & Wastewater Conference and a further successful program in New Caledonia in 2018.
AWP is seeking an Australian Partner to work closely with the PWWA to carry out a second phase of the Capacity Development Assistance Program.

It is expected that the remainder will be needed for direct support to the PWWA secretariat and the expenses for the YWP program and governance training (i.e. flights, accommodation and per diem for participants, as well as meeting room costs). Note that the successful applicant will be invited to work with AWP and the PWWA to finalise the overall budget including how many annual YWP and governance training events can be supported.[/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row]
