  • WaterNSW – Wentworth to Broken Hill pipeline
WaterNSW is delivering the $500,000,000 270km Murray to Broken Hill pipeline – the NSW Government’s largest investment in regional water security. This project will provide a long-term solution to secure the water supply for Broken Hill. Water is a highly emotive and politically sensitive issue for many stakeholders in far west NSW. As such, there is a high level of stakeholder, community and media interest in the Project. KJA has been engaged to develop a proactive and milestone driven Stakeholder Management and Communication Strategy and also to facilitate a workshop with key stakeholders to deliver a change management strategy.
  • WaterNSW – Burrawang to Avon Tunnel
The overall objective of the Burrawang to Avon Tunnel project is to improve environmental outcomes, provide greater certainty and security of water supply to WaterNSW customers and to help meet the demand of Greater Sydney’s future population growth. KJA supports the project’s internal and external communication initiatives and is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating communication and community engagement plans.
  • NSW Planning, Industry and Environment – Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism Program
KJA designed the Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism (SDLAM) Program’s stakeholder engagement and monitoring and evaluation frameworks in consultation with multiple internal stakeholders. The engagement framework, which included stakeholder mapping, risk analysis and message development, would serve as a blueprint for the SDLAM Program’s nine project engagement plans, and relates to the development of supply and efficiency measures to promote effective management of water resources across NSW.
  • Blue Water JV – Sydney Desalination Plant
Sydney’s Desalination Plant helps secure water supply against the effects of climate change, population growth and drought. KJA was initially engaged by Blue Water JV to be a key part of the tender process, leading the environment and communications team. Once the tender was successful, KJA developed and implemented a communications and consultation program for the approvals stage of the project, which included stakeholder liaison, risk assessment and issues management strategies. KJA carried out communications tasks across three levels: high-level strategic action; localised communications activities; and internal communications, including development of communications protocols and style guidelines.
  • Kembla Watertech’s SewerFix Program
Kembla Watertech’s SewerFix Program involved the design, manufacture, supply, installation and testing of structural lines of sewer and stormwater pipes in the Sydney Harbour Wasteway, Hawkesbury/ Nepean Wastewater, Georges River Wastewater and Illawarra Wastewater areas. KJA was engaged by Kembla Watertech to provide strategic communications and lead the community and stakeholder program. KJA developed and implemented a communication and consultation program, which included communications protocols and procedures, stakeholder risk assessment, community relations inductions, issues management strategies and interface protocols between internal stakeholders. KJA also provided strategic advice to senior management as well as mentoring and coaching in-house community relations personnel.
