Organisational Capability

• Over 40 years’ experience in natural resource, water and environmental management sectors including state and national policy, legislative and governmental reform and intergovernmental relations in Australia and internationally. Senior executive level experience in the South Australian Government including the South Australian Research and Development Institute, Bio-security SA and Rural Solutions SA and River Murray Programs. Management experience in the implementation of major regional construction projects including the preparation of project funding proposals, project design and contract delivery. Extensive knowledge and responsibility for the preparation of agendas, position papers and briefings for a variety of national Ministerial Councils, Standing Committees and related working groups as well as state councils and interagency committees has ensured I have considerable expertise in intragovernmental, intergovernmental and interjurisdictional relations. Significant capacity in the facilitation of a wide range of public meetings, training programs and undertaken extensive community engagement as well as implementing numerous education, communication, and promotional campaigns. Vast experience working with Aboriginal communities throughout Australia on reconciliation and the delivery of various natural resources management initiatives. Performed a major role in the development of water policy and legislation in Nepal and have engaged with various agencies in South Asia and elsewhere around the world on water resources management and agricultural market development
