The LayFlat is part of a five year project conducted by the National University of Laos and the Living Aquatic Resources Research Centre, to facilitate downstream fish passage in and out of wetland breeding grounds, off Laos’ Mekong River. AWMA’s ‘fish friendly’ LayFlat gates will replace traditional undershot regulators which have been compromising fish populations for many decades. AWMA also offer 4 different technologies with developed capacity and product to enable viable screening of native fish from gravity irrigation off-takes and pumped diversions. A combination of LayFlat (tilting) gates, undershots and combination (dual leaf) gates were used. AWMA's designs allow for easy conversion to automated channel control. Follow this link for more details: https://www.awmawatercontrol.com.au/projects/sunwater-intersafe-project/,A/ Dual leaf combination gates along with segmented stopboard structures were designed, manufactured and installed within the Hattah Lakes. The infrastructure provided by AWMA will allow restoration of a more natural flooding regime. Follow this link for more details: https://www.awmawatercontrol.com.au/projects/koondrook-perricoota-flood-enhancement-works-kpfew/ __________________________________________ C/ Custom designed gates were manufactured, supplied, installed and commissioned for this project. AWMA provided additional training and support, as is done with all design and construct contracts. All infrastructure was designed with safe fish passage and the improvement of wildlife habitat in mind. Follow this link for more details: https://www.awmawatercontrol.com.au/projects/mullaroo-creek-environmental-regulator/,AWMA have developed a comprehensive range of flood mitigation infrastructure. Our products can be used for asset protection, as well as urban and regional community protection. With climate change, rising sea levels and weather events becoming a real issue we will see flood mitigation become a necessity in Asia Pacific as it has been in Europe for centuries.
