As Quantity Surveyors, we are the profession that manages costs on construction projects. MBM has over 80 personnel and the proven capability of providing cost estimates, cost plans, risk/probabilistic estimates (P50 & P90) and value add services throughout the project design and construction stages. Our water project experience ranges from Sewer Pumping Stations to Desalination plants. As testament to our capability, MBM has been appointed to the estimating/quantity surveying panels of Water Authorities including Hunter Water, Melbourne Water, City West Water and Barwon Water. MBM establishes and manages the capital costs on construction projects and through the knowledge and the technical skills of our personnel, we are able to advise on alternative solutions and undertake value engineering to reduce costs.
We stay up to date with current legislation, trends and issues through participating in industry forums and associations such as the Australian Water Association (AWA), the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Our technical staff receive ongoing training in estimating systems including CostX, BIM compatible estimating software and @Risk as well as our inhouse developed infrastructure cost databases.
