Tanmay Singh
Events and Communications Officer
Tanmay works as an Events and Communications Officer at AWP, where he leverages his academic background in journalism, media, and communications to excel in his role.
Prior to joining AWP, Tanmay worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Futuretheory and volunteered his time to support the Marketing team at the National Folk Festival in 2023.
Over the course of his career, Tanmay has worked with news companies like India News and Star Sports, while also organising international events like the Japan Konnichiwa Festival.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tanmay actively sought to master communication techniques across diverse fields and avenues. He coached soccer to underprivileged children in India, imparting essential leadership and teamwork skills at a young age. Additionally, Tanmay volunteered to teach Mathematics and English to children from lower socio-economic backgrounds at a non-governmental organisation- Let’s Educate Children In Need (LECIN), India. He also undertook the responsibility of coaching Weston Molonglo Football Club (WMFC) Master League Women’s team in Canberra for 3 consecutive years, fostering team building skills.
He is proficient in stakeholder engagement, content creation, public relations, event and social media management. With his passion for effective communication, both verbally and through written content, Tanmay is dedicated to supporting the events and communications initiatives at AWP.
Tanmay’s academic credentials complement his practical expertise, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Amity University, India, and a Master’s degree in Communication (Marketing) from the University of Canberra, Australia.
