Anu Upadhayay

As a Program Officer at the Australian Water Partnership, Anu supports the Program Team in implementing initiatives across Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam. Her strong background in project management, social and behaviour change communication—especially on gender equality and social inclusion issues—means Anu has much to contribute to the inclusive approaches of AWP’s work.

Before joining AWP, Anu worked as a Program Manager with Plan International and ECPAT Luxembourg’s regional offices in Nepal. In these roles, she managed the implementation of child protection and anti-human trafficking projects in Nepal and contributed to a regional initiative across India and Bangladesh. Anu was responsible for program delivery, budget oversight, partner management and donor reporting.

Anu has also worked with Go Equal Consulting, Australia, supporting the implementation and communications of a gender equality program in Micronesia.

Anu holds a Master’s degree in Applied Anthropology and Participatory Development from the Australian National University.
