As a member of the United Nations’ High Level Panel on Water, Australia has massively contributed to global efforts towards the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular, Goal 6: to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

In honour of World Water Day today, we’re inviting all Partners to share how they value water around this year’s theme, ‘Nature for Water’, which explores nature-based solutions to the water challenges we face in the 21st century.

You can:

  • Submit a ‘postcard from the field’ on Kini (kini.org.au) – a photo or video with a caption (see how)
  • Share a post on social media using hashtags #WorldWaterDay2018 #iValueWater #EveryDrop #SDG6 and tag AWP (Twitter @waterpartnersAU / Facebook @australianwaterpartnership).

We’ll share all posts on our website and social media channels, so be sure to follow/like AWP to get updates on what other Partners are saying.

Also, stay tuned about an announcement on the conclusion of the High Level Panel on Water. Final recommendations for world leaders will be published to use as a guide in securing global access to clean water and sanitation, particularly through better valuing water.

We look forward to hearing about how you or your organisation is valuing water this World Water Day.
